Two $1000 college scholarships will be awarded to Downriver High School Seniors who have competed in either the News-Herald cross country meet or the News-Herald track meet. Each student will have to be attending an accredited college or university in the fall of 2016.
The scholarships are to be awarded based on cross country and/or track participation including the News-Herald Championships. Academic achievement will be factored in and consideration will be given to high school activities and community service. Winners and their families will be invited to attend and receive their recognition at our annual picnic in July (date, time and place to be determined).

CANDIDATES NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
1-Fill out the application, completing all sections of the four pages.
2-YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE US WITH YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER(THAT SECTION CAN BE IGNORED)
3-Enclose a copy of your transcript that includes grades through the fall semester of the senior year.
4-Note that your documents MUST BE RECEIVED BY June 30, 2016.
